I’m confused

I have a Eurail France-Spain Pass & a Eurail Italy pass & am in need of a reservation from Montpellier to Pisa. Also, can my pass be used to take the ferry from Civitaveccia to Barcelona?

I have 2 rail reservations from Pisa to Rome! They have been charged to my credit card and I only need one reserved ticket. How can I change this situation? I need a reservation from Montpellier, France to Pisa, Italy on September 8, 2015. Also, can my Rail Europe Pass be used to take the Ferry from Citavecchia, Italy to Barcelona, Spain on September 13, 2015? Booking Number: PU-32993026-R8W8. I have a Rail Europe Regional pass for France and Spain and one for Italy. Thank you for any advice and information you can give me. I am a bit new at this!

Hi Jamie. Thank you for your question.

If you would like to request a refund, first please send an email to customercare@raileurope.com. In the email, be sure to include the booking number for your order, as well as your full first and last name.

    Montpellier to Pisa

The most feasible connection from Montpellier to Pisa takes about 14.5 hours in duration and involves 3 train changes en route; once in Valence, once in Chambery, and then in Milan.

To be covered on the train from Montpellier to Valence, you would use your 'Eurail France-Spain Pass'. This train would just require reservations in addition to the pass. Trains from Montpellier to Valence are high-speed 'TGV' and 'France-Spain High Speed' trains.

Direct trains from Valence to Chambery are regional 'TER' trains, which are trains that don't even accept reservations. Therefore, the 'Eurail France-Spain Pass' is all you would need to board.

The 'Eurail France-Spain Pass' and your 'Eurail Italy Pass' would combine to cover you on the train from Chambery to Milan. This train would require reservations in addition to the passes. The train from Chambery to Milan is a high-speed 'France-Italy TGV' train.

You would then use your 'Eurail Italy Pass' to be covered on the train from Milan to Pisa. Direct trains from Milan to Pisa are 'InterCity' trains that will require reservations in addition to the pass.

To purchase the reservations, you would click on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on the homepage of our website (www.raileurope.com), enter a segment, and indicate the type of rail pass you'll be traveling with to cover that segment. With that said, it is not possible to choose multiple rail passes when purchasing reservations. Therefore, when you go to purchase your reservation for the segment from Chambery to Milan, you can just indicate that you'll be traveling with any rail pass that does cover this train, such as a 'Eurail Global Pass' or a 'Eurail France-Italy Pass'. Even though neither of these are the passes you'll actually be traveling with, indicating that you'll be traveling with one of these passes would prompt our website to quote you the appropriate reservation fee for this train and enable you to purchase the reservation.

To view schedules for the non-reservable segment from Valence to Chambery, you would just click on 'Find Fares & Schedules' (instead of 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations') on our homepage and enter the cities, this time not indicating that you'll be traveling with any type of rail pass.

The trains from Montpellier to Valence and Chambery to Milan can sell out quickly, so it would be recommended that the reservations be purchased as soon as possible.

When you do your searches, you will see that trains from Chambery to Milan arrive into the Porta Garibaldi station in Milan, while trains from Milan to Pisa depart from the Centrale station. On our site, the Porta Garibaldi station would be labeled as 'Milano P Garibal' or 'Milano P.GAR', and the Centrale station would be labeled as ''Milano C.LE'.

To commute from the Porta Garibaldi station to the Centrale station, you would take Line 2 of the Milan Metro. The ride between Porta Garibaldi and Centrale only takes about 5 minutes. You would pay to board the Metro locally at the station.

    Civitavecchia to Barcelona (Ferry)

The 'Eurail Italy Pass' and the 'Eurail France-Spain Pass' would combine to qualify you to receive a 20% discount on the ferry passages from Civitavecchia or Livorno (the main port for Tuscany) to Barcelona. With these passes, you would also be able to receive a 10% for accommodation supplements on these ferries.

To book this ferry, you would call 'Grimaldi Lines' at (+39) 081 496 444 or (+34) 902 531 333, or else by sending an email to info@grimaldi.napoli.it or reservas@grimalditour.com. To receive the discount, just be sure to mention that you'll be traveling with the two rail passes.
