    Hi Jin,

Actually, the German Rail Pass by itself covers travel to Salzburg from within Germany, so you would not have to purchase the German Rail Pass Extension if you only plan on going to Salzburg outside of Germany.

The German Rail Pass Extension is only valid in conjunction with the German Rail Pass. It would not be valid in conjunction with any multi-country rail passes that include Germany.

From Prague, the Germain Rail Pass Extension would be valid to cover the ticket costs for the bus that goes to Munich or Nuremburg. You would be able to use this pass to begin in Prague and travel from there into Germany to either of these cities.

In addition to the German Rail Pass Extension and the German Rail Pass, the bus from Prague to Munich does require reservations. After you add the passes to your shopping cart, you would click 'Continue Shopping' to add your reservations. On the next screen, you would then click 'Buy a Reservation' under where it says 'Reservations for Pass Holders' (to check reservation costs and schedules beforehand, you would click on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.)

When you go to purchase your reservations, you will be prompted to enter the type of rail pass you'll be traveling with; however, it is not possible to enter the German Rail Extension Pass here. Since German Rail Pass by itself does not cover the full route of the buses from Prague to Munich or Nuremburg, you would just indicate that you will be traveling with a 'Eurail Czech Republic-Germany Pass' when prompted, in order to be quoted the reservation fees. Otherwise, if you indicate that you'll be traveling with just a German Rail Pass, our website will think that you do not have the necessary pass coverage to cover this entire route, and you may not be quoted the reservation fees. All that matters is that the ticket costs for the entire journey from Prague to Munich or Nuremburg will be covered when you are traveling (and you will accomplish this by purchasing the German Rail Pass Extension to combine with your German Rail Pass), so it doesn't matter what pass you enter here, as long as it covers the entire route.

The bus from Prague to Munich or Nuremburg can only be reserved within 60 days of an intended date of departure.

If i purchase a German Rail pass with the extension, I believe i can travel from Munich to Prague. I am not sure i can travel from Prague to Dresden? Can someone confirm?

    Thanks.
