Already in Italy, can I still book through Rail Europe?

I am currently in Italy and I found a train that I would like to book through your site, however I just realized that your site is meant for people in North America. I tried to find this same train through the Italian website you have listed under Rail Help>Placing an Order>If I don't live in North America, can I book with Rail Europe?, however, it was not there. Is there a way to purchase these tickets from this site and have them sent to Italy? I am trying to buy a round trip ticket from Florence to Rome.

    Hi Elizabeth,

    Rail Europe is the North American ticket seller for the various national rail networks of Europe. Generally, we are not able to sell to residents of countries outside of North America, due to local restrictions. Additionally, most of our tickets and passes are physical documents which are generally shipped to our customer prior to them departing for Europe.

    If you are a resident of a country in Europe, then you would not be able to proceed with an order on our website, and you would have to refer to an affiliated agent in Europe. You can access these agents according to your location at

    Otherwise, if you are from a North American country, you can still purchase through us; however, delivery to an international address is not able to be arranged on our website. To arrange for an order to be delivered to you at an address in Europe, you would call us at 1-800-622-8600 or 1-847-916-1028. Our current hours are 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM ET Monday to Friday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET on Saturday.

    That being said, there does happen to be some trains between Florence and Rome, for which we would issue e-tickets. These would be the trains labeled as 'Italo' when you pull up the results of your fare and schedule search on our website. If you opt for one of these trains on each segment of your roundtrip, then we would be able to issue your tickets electronically. Tickets for the other trains on this route are issued as physical documents that would need to be shipped to you.
