Thank you for your question, Dennis.

The direct trains from Copenhagen to Stockholm ('SJ High-Speed' trains) would only allow bicycles if contained within a purpose-designed bicycle bag (measuring no more than 120cm x 90cm). A bike can fit in such a bag with the wheels and pedals detached and the handlebars parallel to the frame. A fully assembled bike would not be allowed on these trains.

You would purchase tickets and check schedules for trains from Copenhagen to Stockholm by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage and entering the route. Generally, the trains from Copenhagen to Stockholm can be booked once within 90 days of an intended date of departure.

In Sweden, fully assembled bikes are only allowed on board regional trains in Skåne County (the southernmost region of the country to the east of Copenhagen) and on Öresund trains (which connect Copenhagen with Gothenburg, Alvesta, or Karlskrona). Fully assembled bikes are not allowed on board any other train in Sweden, including all trains to the north of Skåne County and Gothenburg. Therefore, if traveling with a fully assembled bike, you would only be able to get as far as Alvesta on the way from Copenhagen to Stockholm.
