I’m confused

Argentina Residence traveling with Point to Point tickets purchased by a US citizen

I will be traveling with my family ( 2 adults, 2 childs 8&15) in Europe . First question the 15 years old is already a child or an adult ?. Second question is that we live in Argentina but a friend of mind wants to give trains as a gift to my family and he lives in the United States . Can he purchase the tickets for my family (4 persons ) point to point tickets from Amsterdam to Berlin - Berlin to Prague - Prague to Vienna - Vienna to Budapest ? If that is possible he will send the tickets to my country to have them with us when traveling . In that case our country of residence could be a problem to travel in Rail Europe . Third question can He purchase with his name in payment as he will be paying but detail each of us in the tickets ? . Regards and sorry for my english .

    Hi Leonardo,

While it is generally the case that we're not able to sell to residents of countries outside of North America, a friend can still purchase regular tickets for you as a gift. To do so, however, your friend would have to call us. We can be reached at 1-800-622-8600.

Additionally, country of residence only matters with regard to rail passes and not regular point-to-point tickets. Therefore, it would only be regular tickets that they would be able to purchase for you and not any of the rail passes.

For those point-to-point tickets, the 15 year old would be considered an adult.
