Hi

I am planning to travel from Barcelona to Lisbon around 17th April 2014. Can you please let me know the most cost effective way to reach. Also can I buy a Eurail pass for portugal-spain on this website?

    Hello,

A rail connection from Barcelona to Lisbon would involve changing trains once in Madrid along the way. First, you would take a high-speed train from Barcelona to Madrid. From Madrid, there is a direct overnight train that would take you to Lisbon.

The Eurail Portugal-Spain Pass would be purchased from our website. You can purchase this pass by clicking here: http://www.raileurope.com/rail-ticket....

The train from Barcelona to Madrid and the night train from Madrid to Lisbon both require reservations in addition to the rail pass. After you add the pass to your 'Itinerary' (shopping cart), you would click 'Add a Trip' or 'Continue Shopping' where it says 'Want to add more items to your Itinerary?'. This would take you back to the homepage where you would click on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' to purchase your reservations.

If you would just like to purchase regular point-to-point tickets instead of the rail pass, you would do so by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.

To view the type of sleeping compartments offered on the night train, you would just click on 'View' (right underneath the fare that displays) when you pull up the results of your search on our site.
