Barcelona to London

Hi,

My friend and I are planning a trip Europe this year. We want to fly into Barcelona from NY, and then take a train from Barcelona to London.

What would be the fastest and most direct route , and cheapest of course, ;)

Thanks!

    Hi Elana,

The connection from Barcelona to London would involve taking the night train from Barcelona to Paris, where you would connect to the Eurostar train to London the following morning.

You can check ticket costs and schedules under 'Check Fares and Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.

Currently, it requires that you enter the station names when you do searches for routes in Spain and also the overnight train from Barcelona to Paris. For the night train schedules between Barcelona and Paris, you would just type 'Barcelona Estacio De Franca' and 'Paris Austerlitz' when you do your search.

You would then do another search for connecting trains from Paris up to London.

While the night train from Barcelona arrives into the Austerlitz station in Paris, the Eurostar trains to London depart from the Nord station. To get from the Austerlitz station to the Nord station, you would take M5 of the Paris Metro, which takes about 15 minutes. Be sure to consider this when you choose your departure time for the connecting train from Paris to London. You would pay to board the Metro locally upon arrival.

The night train from Barcelona to Paris can only be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure. If your intendted date of departure happens to fall outside of this time frame, you would just enter a date within the next 90 days to get an idea of cost and view schedules when searching the route on our website. The Eurostar from Paris to London can generally be booked up to 9 months in advance of a departure.
