Traveling from Milan to Zurich but would like to take the Bernina Express along the way

I need to go from Milan to Zurich. I would like to take the Bernina Express Route along the way if it is possible. How do I see the Bernina Express options?

Thank you for your question, Tara.

The Bernina Express bus from Lugano to Tirano stops operating for the season in about 2 weeks. You can connect up with the Bernina Express train by taking a direct train from Milan to Tirano. In Tirano, you would board a Bernina Express train to St. Moritz or Chur. From either St. Moritz or Chur, you can then continue on to Zurich.

Tickets for trains from Milan to Tirano and St. Moritz or Chur to Zurich can be purchased by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage. Generally, you would be able to purchase tickets for the Bernina Express trains from Tirano to St. Moritz or Tirano to Chur there as well; however, these particular trains are currently not able to be booked on our website due to an error. Instead, you can purchase tickets for a Bernina Express train from Tirano to St. Moritz or Tirano to Chur by calling us at 1-800-622-8600.

Trains in this part of Europe can be booked once within 90 days of an intended date of departure.
