Change in reply by Jeff to Hi Jessica,<br /><br />For a group of 28, you would have to submit a request to our Groups Department here: <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/europe-by-train/products/group-bookings/article/group-booking-form-12801" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com/europe-by-train/products/group-bookings/article/group-booking-form-12801">http://www.raileurope.com/europe-by-train/products/group-bookings/article/group-booking-form-12801</a><br /><br />This can be linked to by clicking 'Group Reservation' on the homepage of our website, <a href="http://www.raileurope.com" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com">www.raileurope.com</a>.<br /><br />The ruins of Pompei can only be reached by taking a train along the privately owned 'Circumvesuviana Line' from <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/city/naples" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com/city/naples">Naples</a>. This rail line runs between the Piazza Garibaldi station in <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/city/naples" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com/city/naples">Naples</a> and Sorrento, and the ruins are located right off the 'Pompei Scavi-Villa dei Misteri' stop. Since these trains are privately owned and operated, a rail pass would not be valid and the tickets can only be purchased locally when you're there. I believe these tickets only cost a few euros per person. The ride on the 'Circumvesuviana' from <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/city/naples" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com/city/naples">Naples</a> to 'Pompei Scavi-Villa dei Misteri' only takes about 35 minutes in each direction.<br /><br />Conveniently, the Piazza Garibaldi station is located in the lower level of the same building as the <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/place/napoli-centrale" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com/place/napoli-centrale">Naples Centrale station</a>, which is considered the main rail station in Naples where most trains from elsewhere in <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/destinations/country-guides/article/italy" rel="nofollow">Italy</a> will arrive into (including trains coming from <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/city/rome" rel="nofollow">Rome</a>).<br /><br />A connection from <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/city/rome" rel="nofollow">Rome</a> to Pompei involves taking a high-speed <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/train/italian-trains-frecciarossa-7590" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com/train/italian-trains-frecciarossa-7590">Frecciarossa</a> or <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/train/italian-trains-frecciabianca-7588" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com/train/italian-trains-frecciabianca-7588">Frecciabianca</a> train to <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/city/naples" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com/city/naples">Naples</a>, where you would switch to the 'Circumvesuviana'. Since the 'Circumvesuviana' isn't covered, you would only be using your rail pass for the segment from Rome to Naples. <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/train/italian-trains-frecciarossa-7590" rel="nofollow" title="Link: http://www.raileurope.com/train/italian-trains-frecciarossa-7590">Frecciarossa</a> and <a href="http://www.raileurope.com/train/italian-trains-frecciabianca-7588" rel="nofollow">Frecciabianca</a> trains do require reservations as a supplement to a rail pass. You would contact our Groups Department for the reservations and for any other reservation requests..

Change in reply by Jeff to Hi Brian, A connection from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/spain/barcelona/index.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/spain/barcelona/index.html">Barcelona</a> to <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/france/bordeaux/index.html" rel="nofollow">Bordeaux</a> would take about 7 to 7.5 hours in duration and involves changing trains once in Narbonne along the way. Generally, you would purchase reservations for this connection on our site just by doing a separate search for each segment (i.e. one search for trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/barcelona-to-narbonne.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/barcelona-to-narbonne.html">Barcelona to Narbonne</a> and another search for connecting trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/narbonne-to-bordeaux.html" rel="nofollow">Narbonne to Bordeaux</a>); however, passholder reservations for trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/barcelona-to-narbonne.html" rel="nofollow">Barcelona to Narbonne</a> are not able to be booked on our site at this time. Until this is fixed, you would have to call us in order to purchase passholder reservations for this train. We can be reached at 1-800-622-8600. The trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/barcelona-to-narbonne.html" rel="nofollow">Barcelona to Narbonne</a> are <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/european-trains/france-spain-high-speed-train/how-to-book.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/european-trains/france-spain-high-speed-train/how-to-book.html">France-Spain High Speed</a> trains. The trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/barcelona-to-narbonne.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/barcelona-to-narbonne.html">Barcelona to Narbonne</a> and <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/narbonne-to-bordeaux.html" rel="nofollow">Narbonne to Bordeaux</a> do both require reservations in addition to a rail pass. Trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/narbonne-to-bordeaux.html" rel="nofollow">Narbonne to Bordeaux</a> are <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/european-trains/tgv/how-to-book.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/european-trains/tgv/how-to-book.html">TGV</a> and InterCité trains..
