Trying to book reservations from Budapest to Vienna with a Central Europe Triangle Pass but not able to choose the Keleti station. Is it possible to make reservations for trains departing from the Budapest Keleti station?

Changed description to I am looking at the Central Europe Triangle Pass. When I try to book a reservation from Budapest to Vienna, the trains that depart from Keleti say "This train requires travelers with a rail pass to purchase a reservation but we are unable to find reservations that are compatible with your rail pass for this train." We are planning in staying closer to the Keleti station. Is it possible to make reservations for the Keleti station?

Change in reply by Jeff to Hi Richard, For the route from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/budapest-to-vienna.html" rel="nofollow">Budapest to Vienna</a>, our website lists the same train multiple times when you pull up the results of your search. Some listings show Kelenfoe as the station of departure in <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/index.html" rel="nofollow">Budapest</a>, while others show <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html">Keleti</a> as the station of departure in <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/index.html" rel="nofollow">Budapest</a>. To verify if multiple listings are for the same train, you can just refer to the train number. For some reason (due to a glitch on our site), an error message appears for the options that display <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html">Keleti</a> as the station of departure. The error message states that we aren't able to issue reservations for the train; however, you can rest assured that is actually not the case. We are, in fact, able to issue reservations for the trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/budapest-to-vienna.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/budapest-to-vienna.html">Budapest to Vienna</a>, and it doesn't matter which station you board at. Therefore, in order to book reservations for this route, you can choose one of the options that displays Kelenfoe as the station of departure in <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/index.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/index.html">Budapest</a> and still board at the <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html" rel="nofollow">Keleti station</a>. Even if you choose the option that displays Kelenfoe as the departure station, the reservation we issue would be valid for you to board at <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html">Keleti</a>. Just be sure to keep in mind your departure time out of the <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html">Keleti station</a>. The <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/european-trains/railjet/how-to-book.html" rel="nofollow">Railjet</a> trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/budapest-to-vienna.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/budapest-to-vienna.html">Budapest to Vienna</a> depart from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/train-station/budapest-keleti-train-station.html">Keleti</a> just 14-15 minutes before they are shown to be departing from Kelenfoe. Additionally, please disregard any listings that show 'Westbahnhof' as the station of arrival in <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/austria/vienna/index.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/austria/vienna/index.html">Vienna</a>, as the trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/index.html" rel="nofollow">Budapest</a> will actually no longer be stopping at this station after December 13th. After December 13th, the <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/european-trains/railjet/how-to-book.html" rel="nofollow">Railjet</a> trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/index.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/hungary/budapest/index.html">Budapest</a> will only be stopping at the <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/austria/vienna/train-station/wien-hauptbahnhof-train-station.html" rel="nofollow">Hbf (Hauptbahnhof) station</a> and the Meidling station in <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/austria/vienna/index.html" rel="nofollow">Vienna</a>, and you can use the reservation we issue to disembark at either one; it doesn't matter which option you choose on our website. Therefore, even if your reservation document displays Meidling as the arrival station in <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/austria/vienna/index.html" rel="nofollow">Vienna</a>, you can still get off at <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/austria/vienna/train-station/wien-hauptbahnhof-train-station.html" rel="nofollow">Hbf</a>. The <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/european-trains/railjet/how-to-book.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/european-trains/railjet/how-to-book.html">Railjet</a> trains from <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/budapest-to-vienna.html" rel="nofollow" title="Link: https://www.raileurope.com/popular-routes/budapest-to-vienna.html">Budapest to Vienna</a> stop at the Hbf station just about 16 minutes before they are shown to be arriving into the Meidling station. <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/austria/vienna/train-station/wien-hauptbahnhof-train-station.html" rel="nofollow">Hbf</a> is considered the main station in <a href="https://www.raileurope.com/europe-travel-guide/austria/vienna/index.html" rel="nofollow">Vienna</a>. We're sorry for any confusion..
