    Hi Joseph,

If you can depart really early, you can take a connection from Folkestone to Calais that takes only about 1.5 hours and involves changing trains once in Ashford along the way.

Otherwise, you would actually have to go north to either London or Ebbsfleet first to change trains. The connections via London or Ebbsfleet would take about 2.5 to 3 hours.

Trains from Ashford to Calais, London to Calais, and Ebbsfleet to Calais are the high-speed Eurostar trains.

You would purchase tickets by entering a route under 'Find Train Tickets' on our homepage, www.raileurope.com. For a trip from Folkestone to Calais, you would just have to piece together the connection by doing a separate search for each segment.

Via Ashford, you would do one search for trains from Folkestone to 'Ashford International' and another search for connecting trains from 'Ashford International' to Calais.

Via London, you would do one search for trans from Folkestone to London and another search for connecting trains from London to Calais. When pulling up the results of your search from Folkestone to London, be sure to choose an option that displays St. Pancras as the arrival station, as the Eurostar trains from London to Calais only depart from the St. Pancras station.

Via Ebbsfleet, you would do one search for trains from Folkestone to 'Ebbsfleet International' and another search for connecting trains from 'Ebbsfleet International' to Calais.
