Can I purchase RailEurope reservations at any train station in Europe?

I have a rail pass. Can I purchase a reservation from any train station in Europe? I am traveling in Germany but need a reservation for a TGV from Paris to Avignon in September. That's the only way I can accommodate a paper ticket.

    Hi Susan,

TGV trains from Paris to Avignon can sell out quickly, so you would want to purchase your reservations as soon as possible. However, passholder reservations for these trains are only able to be issued as paper documents that would have to be shipped to you. Delivery to an address in Europe is now able to be arranged for orders placed through our website.

Any order placed on our website can take 24 to 48 hours to be processed in addition to the time it takes to ship the documents, which would be an additional 3 to 5 business days to an address in Europe.

For travel with a rail pass, you would purchase reservations by clicking the 'Seat Reservations' tab on our homepage (www.raileurope.com), entering a route, and indicating the type of rail pass with which you'll be traveling. Our website has two different entries for Avignon: 'Avignon TGV' and just 'Avignon'. 'Avignon TGV' refers to the Avignon TGV station, and 'Avignon' refers to the Avignon Centre station. Most direct trains from Paris to Avignon arrive into the TGV station, so you would want to type 'Avignon TGV' in the field for the arrival city when entering your search ('Paris' to 'Avignon TGV').

  • Can I make a reservation on an overnight train between Zurich to Vienna at the train station. I am in Europe and I want to remain flexible with my dates.
