    Hi Barbara,

With the France Rail Pass, you would be able to purchase tickets at a rate called the 'Passholder 2' on a direct train from Frankfurt to Paris (the trains from Frankfurt to Paris are high-speed 'TGV Est' trains). The Passholder 2 rate is a special rate offered on these trains, created to allow passengers in possession of only a France Rail Pass to still receive a discounted rate on tickets, even though their pass doesn't include Germany.

To ensure that you're purchasing tickets at this rate, you would click 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on the homepage of our website (www.raileurope.com), enter 'Frankurt' and 'Paris' as the cities you'll be traveling between, and then indicate that you'll be traveling with the 'France Rail Pass' when prompted. When the results of your schedule search appear, you would locate one of the direct trains from Frankfurt to Paris and click the 'View' button (listed with the costs that are shown for your preferred departure time).

After you've clicked on 'View', you would then refer to where it says 'Ticket Flexibility'. Underneath 'Ticket Flexibility', you may see 3 options: 'Non Flexible', 'Semi Flexible' and 'Fully Flexible. You would click 'Read More' next to each of these options until you see the fare titled 'TGV Est European Passholder 2' (or something similar). Generally, the Passholder 2 rate for this train would be found under the 'Semi Flexible' or 'Fully Flexible' option. Be sure the option labeled 'TGV Est European Passholder 2' is checked, and then click 'Select' to proceed and add it to your 'Itinerary' (shopping cart).

Generally, these trains can only be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.
