Paris CDG to Avignon by TGV

We are arriving at CDG and need to go by TGV to Avignon. Is there a CDG to Avignon TGV train that leaves directly from CDG, or do we need to transfer to the Gare de Lyon station and take the TGV from there?

    Hi Laurel,

There is a station right at the Paris CDG Airport from where trains to Avignon depart. Therefore, you would not need to commute into the city of Paris. The trains from Paris CDG to Avignon are high-speed TGV trains.

You would purchase tickets by entering a route on our homepage, www.raileurope.com.

For trains that depart right out of Paris CDG, you would have to type 'Paris Airport' in the field for the departure city.

Also, our website has two different entries for Avignon: 'Avignon TGV' and just 'Avignon'. 'Avignon TGV' refers to the Avignon TGV station, and 'Avignon' refers to the Avignon Centre station. The trains from Paris CDG to Avignon only will arrive into the Avignon TGV station. Therefore, you would type 'Avignon TGV' in the arrival field when you do your search.

Generally, trains in France can be booked once within 90 days of an intended departure date.
