    Hi Meriel,

At the airport itself, the time it takes to get from the gate to the train platforms can depend on several factors. I would recommend allowing a time comparable to the amount of time it would take you to walk through a typical major North American airport and retrieve luggage. It is also recommended that you allow an additional hour to get through customs if your flight is arriving from overseas.

There are a couple direct trains from the Paris CDG Airport to Rennes, but most connections to Rennes would involve commuting into the city of Paris first.

You would purchase tickets by entering the route on our homepage, For trains that depart right out of the Paris CDG Airport, you would just type 'Paris Airport' in the field for the departure city. Therefore, you would do your search from 'Paris Airport' to 'Rennes' and scroll through the results until you locate one of the direct trains. For trains out of the city of Paris, you would just do your search from 'Paris' to 'Rennes'.

The trains from Paris CDG to Rennes and the trains from the city of Paris to Rennes are TGV trains.

Generally, trains in France can be booked once within 90 days of an intended departure date.

If you don't take one of the direct trains from CDG to Rennes, then you would commute from the airport to the city by taking Line B of the local RER rail network to the Châtelet–Les Halles station. At Châtelet–Les Halles, you would switch to M4 of the Paris Métro, which you would take to the Montparnasse station, from where the trains to Rennes depart. You would pay to ride the RER and Métro locally when you're there. The connection from the airport to the Montparnasse station would take at least 55 minutes in duration. The RER trains depart every 7 to 15 minutes.
