CDG airport to la gare d'austerlitz in Paris?

What is the best way to get from CDG aiport to la gare D'austerlitz for me to catch a train from there to La Souterraine? What kind of passes I would need for just that routing round trip?

    Hi Peggy,

To commute from the CDG Airport into the city of Paris, you would take Line B of the local RER train to the St. Michel stop. The RER trip from the airport to St. Michel would take about 40 to 45 minutes in duration. At the St Michel station, you would connect to Metro 10, which you would take directly over to the Austerlitz station, where trains to La Souterraine depart from. The ride on the Metro from the St. Michel station to the Austerlitz station only takes about 5 to 10 in duration. You would pay to board the RER and the Metro locally upon arrival.

You can purchase tickets for trains from Paris to La Souterraine under 'Find Fares & Schedules' or 'Check Fares and Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. Trains in France can be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.

  • We arrive at 10:50 pm at CDG. Will Line B still be running at that hour?

      Hi Kathleen,

The last RER train out of the airport departs at 11:50 pm, so you might not be able to make it if your flight arrives at 10:50 pm. After that; however, there are 'Noctilien' buses that run from the airport into the city throughout the night. These buses depart every 30 minutes and will take you into the Nord station or the Est station in the city. The ride takes about 50 minutes to Nord and 55 minutes to Est.
