SNCF is the national rail network of France. Therefore, the Eurail France Pass does cover trains operated by SNCF. However, the pass does not cover any of the buses to Mont Saint-Michel. For your bus ride, you would just have to purchase tickets locally when you're there. Buses to Mont Saint-Michel depart from Dol, Pontorson, or Rennes.

Trains from Paris to Dol and Paris to Rennes are high-speed TGV trains on which reservations are required as a supplement to the rail pass.

For travel with a rail pass, you would purchase reservations from Paris to Dol or Paris to Rennes by clicking the 'Seat Reservations' tab on our homepage (www.raileurope.com), entering the route, and indicating the type of rail pass with which you'll be traveling (i.e. a 'Eurail France Pass'). Generally, trains in France can be reserved once within 90 days of an intended departure date.

A connection from Paris to Pontorson involves changing trains once in either Lison or Rennes along the way.

Trains from Paris to Lison are Intercité trains on which reservations are recommended as a supplement to the rail pass. Trains from Lison to Pontorson are regional 'TER' trains. TER trains do not accept reservations, so the rail pass is all you would need to board.

Once again, trains from Paris to Rennes are TGV trains, which require reservations as a supplement to the rail pass. Trains from Rennes to Pontorson are the regional TER trains, which do not accept reservations.
