At the station, can I exchange my ticket for an earlier departure?

If I get to the station early enough, can I exchange my ticket for an earlier departure.

    Hi Chantal,

    Exchange and refund possibilities are dependent on the fare/ticket. When you pull up the results of your route search, you would find the exchange and refund policies by clicking the 'View' button under the cost for a particular fare. After you click 'View', a box will expand out underneath where the exchange and refund policies for that fare will be stated.

    In some cases, exchanges can be performed at the stations, but in other cases, the exchange would have to be performed directly with us before leaving for Europe.

    We are not able to assist with specific orders through this forum. If you have questions about an order you already placed, you would have to call us at 1-800-622-8600 or send an email to customercare@raileurope.com. If you send an email, please be sure to include the booking number for your order, as well as your full first and last name. However, please note it can take up to 48 business hours to receive a reply to email correspondence. Therefore, if you need more immediate assistance, you would have to call us. Our current hours are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM CT Monday to Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT on Saturdays.

  • I'm looking to exchange my current ticket from Beziers to Barcelona to an earlier time on the same day (Saturday 22nd july). I've been on hold for the past 90 minutes with Raileurope. If I can't speak to a "human" shortly can I change the ticket at the station? URGENT

      I'm sorry, however, we are not able to advise about specific orders over this forum. If you have questions about a specific order you placed (including where tickets can be exchange), you would have to call us, as we would need to look at your order. We are sorry you’ve had to hold, as there may be longer waits due to it being the busy travel season. An agent will assist you as soon as one becomes available.
