I’m frustrated

How can I book the Chocolate Train? I'll be starting in Geneva.

I am trying to determine the price of the chocolate train and how to book it. I am not familiar with navigating the website and have not been able to input the information to give me information.

Can anyone help?

I will be leaving from Geneva.

    Hi Chrissy,

The Chocolate Train trip is a roundtrip journey between Montreux and Broc, starting in Montreux. Therefore, you would first have to take the train from Geneva to Montreux. On the way from Montreux to Broc, the train will make a stop in Gruyères. When you get off the train in Gruyères, you'll be taken by bus to the actual village there. The trip includes free admission to the cheese factory in the village. After a couple hours in Gruyères, the bus would take you to Broc, where you'd visit the Cailler-Nestlé Chocolate Factory. After a couple of hours at the factory in Broc, you would take the train back down Montreux.

You would purchase tickets for your train from Geneva to Montreux and for the Chocolate Train by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage, www.raileurope.com.

For the Chocolate Train, you would enter 'Montreux' and 'Broc' as the pair of cities you'll be traveling between. For this trip, the ticket you purchase just by entering these cities is actually valid to cover the entire roundtrip for the journey, as well as the bus from the train station in Gruyères to the village and the bus from Gruyères to Broc.

The Chocolate Train excursion can only be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure. If your intended departure date happens to fall outside this time frame, you would just enter an earlier date, within the next 90 days to get an idea of the ticket cost when searching the route on our site.

      Hi Mohamed,

The Chocolate Train excursion that we sell is a round-trip between Montreux and Broc, so the ticket we issue for this is valid to cover the return from Broc to Montreux.

The Chocolate Train excursion starts with a train from Montreux to Gruyères. When you get off the train in Gruyères, you'll be taken by bus to the actual village there. Once in the village, you'll have about 2-2.5 hours to visit the cheese factory and castle. From Gruyères, you would continue by bus to Broc, where you'll have just under 2 hours to visit the famed Cailler-Nestlé Chocolate Factory.

Even though the Chocolate Train excursion is a round-trip, you would purchase this particular ticket on our website like it's a one-way. Therefore, for the Chocolate Train ticket, you would just do one search from Montreux to Broc under 'Find Train Tickets' on our homepage, www.raileurope.com.

Even though the ticket is issued as a one-way, it is actually valid for the round-trip between Montreux and Broc via the specifics of the Chocolate Train excursion I described above. The ticket also covers admission to the cheese factory and castle in Gruyères, as well as the chocolate factory in Broc.

Generally, the Chocolate Train ticket can be booked once within 90 days of an intended departure date.
