country not listed

I'm trying to book a ticket for an Austrian National but Austria is not listed on the country list in the personal info area. Nor can I leave it blank. What do I do?

    Hi Staci,

    On www.raileurope.com, we are generally only able to sell to residents of North American countries, so European countries will not appear there as options. However, if you are only purchasing regular point-to-point tickets or reservations, then a passenger's country of residence will not matter. If that is the case, you can just choose the United States as their country of residence, and the tickets we issue would still be valid for them to use.

    The country of residence only matters when purchasing rail passes. If they are from Austria and need to purchase an actual rail pass, the rail pass would need to be purchased on en.oui.sncf/en.
