Does anyone have any suggestions for getting from Paris to Chartres during the rail strike? Help?

How are people dealing with the rail strike? We need to get from Paris to Chartres. Are there any trains running on this route during a strike? I have also heard there is some construction going on the rail line between Paris and Chartres? Suggestions for how to make this trip???

    Hi Jeff,

There is striking in France on select dates for the next few months. They've announced the strikes will primarily be happening on the following days of each of April, May, and June:

    3rd, 4th, 8th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 23rd, 24th, 28th, and 29th.

If you book a ticket and your train ends up being canceled due to the strikes, you can go the ticket window in the station to see if they can arrange another way for you to get to your destination. Otherwise, you can request a refund by sending an email to customercare@raileurope.com. However, trains from Paris to Chartres are regional trains that depart hourly throughout the day, and the ride only takes about an hour. I would suspect that there will be a way for you to get from Paris to Chartres.
