    Hi Bex,

There aren’t really any countries that restrict dogs from being taken on their trains, although the rail network of Spain does state certain restrictions. In Spain, a dog's weight must not exceed 10 kg and would have to be able to fit within an enclosed carrier with a maximum size of 60x35x35 cm. Additionally, the conductor reserves the right to move you to another part of the train if any neighboring passenger objects to the presence of your dog. You may also be charged a separate ticket for your dog. For this, you would have to check at the ticket window prior to boarding. Generally, a dog ticket would be 25-50% off the local price of a 2nd class ticket (even if you’ll be traveling in 1st class).

For yourself, you would purchase tickets for a train from Barcelona to Malaga by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage (www.raileurope.com) and entering the route. Trains from Barcelona to Malaga are high-speed AVE trains. Generally, these trains can be booked once within 90 days of an intended date of departure.
