Eurail France - Italy Pass: Cannot use it for Paris to Venice. Help!

My girlfriend and I planning a trip from Paris > Venice > Rome in Sep.
We bought "Eurail France - Italy Pass" for $700. I understand we need to pay reservation fee. We are NOT planning to take night train. We are just looking for anyway to use Eurail pass to get us from Paris to Venice.

Trying to figure out for hours&hours on how to use my rail pass for Paris to Venice, but it is impossible. It said "Reservation Requried", then keep getting message "We do not have any reservations available for this train. You can either inquire locally about the reservation or book a separate ticket."

Are you serious? "Book a separate ticket" Starting to feel like a scam.

Help what can i do?

    Hi Kevin,

A couple years ago, a new company took over the night train service between Paris and Italy, and they don't accept rail passes to cover their trains. However, you can rest assured that rail passes do cover day trains that would comprise of a connection between France and Italy. A daytime connection from Paris to Venice would take about 11 hours in duration and involve changing trains once in either Turin or Milan along the way.

Generally, you would be able to book these reservations by clicking on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on the homepage of our website; however, the Passholder 1 rates on the trains from Paris to Turin/Milan are not able to be booked there at this time due to an apparent technical error. The Passholder 1 rates for this train are able to be booked by calling us at 1-800-622-8600. With that said, this is one of the more popular routes in Europe, and these trains can sell out very quickly, so I would recommend calling us as soon as possible to book your reservations. These trains can be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.

Reservations for the trains from Turin/Milan to Venice are able to be booked on our website, so you can refer to 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' in the meantime if you wish to get an idea of the reservation costs for this segment and check schedules.
