Does it covering all of the train types and companies (like EIC, TLK, IC, EIP, REG - Przewozy Regionalne) ? and routes like szczecin to warszaw, warszaw - lublin, lublin- zamosc, zamosc -tomaszow lubelski, lublin-gdansk/gdynia etc. ?

    Hi,

A rail pass that includes Poland does cover trains Szczecin to Warsaw, Warsaw to Lublin, and Lublin to Zamość.

A connection from Lublin to Gdansk involves changing trains once in Warsaw along the way. A rail pass that includes Poland covers these trains, as well.

Tomaszów Lubelski does not have a rail station. To get to Tomaszów Lubelski, you would just take a bus from Zamość. A rail pass would not cover the bus, so you would have to pay to board locally.

A rail pass is not valid on public transit within Polish cities. The objective of a rail pass is to cover trains between different cities. For the Eurail Poland Pass, you would click here: https://www.raileurope.com/rail-ticke....

Szczecin to Warsaw (with a Eurail Poland Pass)

Trains from Szczecin to Warsaw are TLK or EIC trains on which reservations would be required in addition to the rail pass.

For travel with a rail pass, you would purchase reservations by clicking the 'Seat Reservations' tab on our homepage (www.raileurope.com), entering a route, and indicating the type of rail pass with which you'll be traveling.

Warsaw to Lublin (with a Eurail Poland Pass)

Trains from Warsaw to Lublin are TLK or IC trains on which reservations would be required. Reservations for the route from Warsaw to Lublin are not able to be purchased through our website at this time. Instead, you can call us to purchase reservations for this route. We can be reached at 1-800-622-8600.

Lublin to Zamość (with a Eurail Poland Pass)

Trains from Lublin to Zamość are regional trains that don't even accept reservations. Therefore, the rail pass is all you would need to board.

    Zamość to Tomaszów Lubelski

To get from Zamość to Tomaszów Lubelski, you would take a bus. The rail pass is not valid on buses from Zamość to Tomaszów Lubelski, so you would have to pay to board locally.

Lublin to Gdansk (with a Eurail Poland Pass)

As I mentioned above, a connection from Lublin to Gdansk involves changing trains once in Warsaw along the way.

Trains from Lublin to Warsaw are TLK or IC trains on which reservations would be required. Reservations for the route from Warsaw to Lublin are not able to be purchased through our website at this time. Instead, you can call us to purchase reservations for this route. We can be reached at 1-800-622-8600.

Trains from Warsaw to Gdansk are EIC trains that would also require reservations. Reservations for this part of the route are able to be purchased through our website.

Note: The only rail pass that can include Poland are the Eurail Global Pass, the Eurail Poland Pass, and the 2 country option of the Eurail Select Pass for Germany and Poland.

  • Please follow up with the original question on whether the Eurail Poland Pass specifically covers and includes travel on EIP trains.

I understand that it covers EIC trains, but on a route such as Gdansk-Warsaw, most of the trains are EIP (which I would prefer), and EIC service is rather limited.
