Family traveling from London to Paris & Paris to Frankfurt, but then our daughter will need a rail pass for Germany & Austria. How do I book this?

Please help me....My daughter, husband and I need to take the Eurostar from London to Paris and then we need to take a train from Paris to Frankfurt 5 days later. Then my daughter will be staying in Germany and using the trains for 6 weeks during her study abroad. How should I book all of this?

    Hi,

I would recommend purchasing regular point-to-point tickets for the three of you to get from London to Paris and then Paris to Frankfurt. You could then purchase a dual country Eurail Austria-Germany Pass for your daughter to cover her travels after that. The Eurail Austria-Germany Pass would be valid for her to use over the course of a 2 month time period after it is activated, so that would more than cover her 6 week stay.

You would purchase tickets from London to Paris (high-speed 'Eurostar' trains) and Paris to Frankfurt (high-speed 'TGV Est' trains) by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage. The Eurostar is unique in that it can generally be booked 6 to 9 months in advance of a departure. In contrast, the TGV Est trains can only be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.

You would purchase the Eurail Austria-Germany Pass here: http://www.raileurope.com/rail-tickets-passes/eurail-austria-germany-pass/index.html.
