Frankfurt to Brussels with a German Rail Pass?

Would the German Rail Pass be all that's needed to travel from Franfurt to Brussels, and a return trip? Are there any additional costs, and are reservations needed?

    Hi Douglas,

Even though the route goes to Belgium, the German Rail Pass does cover direct trains between Frankfurt and Brussels. Therefore, that would take care of your ticket costs, but reservations would still be highly recommended on these trains. With that said, passholder reservations for these particular trains are currently not able to be booked on our website. Instead, you would purchase passholder reservations for this route by calling us. We can be reached at 1-800-622-8600. Our current hours are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM CT Monday to Friday.

The direct trains between Frankfurt and Brussels are high-speed ICE (InterCity Express) trains. Generally, these trains can only be booked once within 90 days of an intended departure date.
