Getting to Deidesheim GERMANY from Lake Como Italy?

I'm trying to find out the cost of a trip from Lake Como, Italy to Deidesheim, Germany on July 5. I can see several itineraries on the Eurail page, but I can't even enter Deidesheim, Germany as a valid destination on the RailEurope page. Please help!

    Hi Kathy,

Deidesheim is accessed by regional trains from Neustadt Weinstrasse. Tickets for regional trains from Neustadt Weinstrasse to Deidesheim are only able to be purchased locally in Germany. With that being the case, schedules from Neustadt Weinstrasse to Deidesheim are not able to be viewed on our website. However, these trains depart once every half hour throughout the day, and the ride only takes 10 minutes.

In their entirety, the most feasible connections from Como to Deidesheim take 7 to 8 hours in duration and involve 4 or 5 train changes along the way.

Except for the segment from Neustadt Weinstrasse to Deidesheim, you can purchase tickets for the rest of the trip just by breaking up your search in the cities where you'd be changing trains.

For one route, you would do one search from Como to Arth Goldau, another search from Arth Goldau to Basel, another search from Basel to Karlsruhe, and then another search from Karlsruhe to Neustadt Weinstrasse.

For another route, you would do one search from Como to Arth Goldau, another search from Arth Goldau to Zurich, another search from Zurich to Karlsruhe, and then another search from Karlsruhe to Neustadt Weinstrasse.

Trains from Basel to Karlsruhe and Zurich to Karlsruhe are high-speed ICE (InterCity Express) trains.
