    Hi Katie,

A connection from Bordeaux to San Sebastián would take just over 3 hours in duration and involves changing trains once in Irun en route. Trains from Bordeaux to Irun are TGV trains.

Tickets for the segment from Bordeaux to Irun are able to be issued electronically as tickets that you would print out from a kiosk at the station in Bordeaux. This is the segment of the trip for which you would want to be sure to purchase tickets in advance anyway, as these trains can sell out. You would purchase tickets for a train from Bordeaux to Irun by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website,

Tickets for a connecting train from Irun to San Sebastián are only able to be issued as paper documents that would have to be shipped to you; however, you should have no difficulty purchasing tickets for this part of the connection locally on the day of departure. Since you depart for Europe as soon as tomorrow, your only option would be to purchase the tickets for this segment locally. For reference, you can still just check schedules for trains from Irun to San Sebastián under 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage.

Therefore, you would do one search for trains from Bordeaux to Irun to purchase tickets for that segment and a separate search for trains from Irun to San Sebastián just to check the schedules for that segment.
