have railpass in hand, cant make reservations

I have in hand a railpass for a trip in two weeks. bought it from rick steves website. should i be able to connect my login to raileurope.com to my rick steve's provided railpass? How do i do that? I need to make reservations.

  • Also - i have been on hold for 2hours waiting for a person to help at raileurope but the computer told me 21 minutes.....whassup with that?

    Rest assured, you can still purchase reservations through us. For travel with a rail pass, you would purchase reservations by searching a route on our homepage (www.raileurope.com), checking the box that says ‘I have a rail pass’, and then indicating the type of rail pass with which you'll be traveling.

    Passholder reservations for trains in Italy, however, are currently not able to be booked on our website. If you need to purchase reservations for a train in Italy you would instead have to call us. We can be reached at 1-800-622-8600. Our current hours are 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM CT Monday to Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT on Saturdays.

    We are sorry you’ve had to hold. We are the only company of our kind that staffs a call center to provide customer assistance, and we have just entered into the busy travel season. As a result, the hold times have been longer. An agent would assist you as soon as one becomes available.
