    Hi,

You could do it either way, as long as you will all be traveling together at all times. You could put all members of your party on the same Saver Pass or else you could divide up your party by putting some of you on one Saver Pass and the rest of you on another Saver Pass. It would be entirely up to you how you want to do it.

The main thing you want to be sure of is that all of the passengers included on the same Saver pass will be traveling together at all times.

The Saver rate is a discounted rate, offered on many different rail passes, for parties comprised of 2 or more passengers traveling together at all times

  • Thank you very much for your reply but I read that for one saver pass you can add 2-5 person so are you sure that I can buy one saver pass for all 7 of us ? We are traveling together at all times . And how can I add them ?

    Hi,

I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking in terms of limits. You're correct. The maximum number of passengers that can be put on the pass is 5. Therefore, you could just submit one request for 4 passengers and another request for 3 passengers, or else you can submit one request for 3 passengers, another request for 2 passengers, and another request for 2 passengers. It doesn't matter as long as the passengers you choose to put on the same pass will be traveling together at all times.

You can purchase multiple passes in the same order just by clicking 'Add a Trip' after adding a pass to your shopping cart ('Itinerary') on our website.

  • But the saver pass include the two adults and one child and it doesn't include the 4 youth so how can I add them ? And could you please tell me the benefit of this pass please does it give us free train tickets or just discount?

Youth passengers can travel with a pass booked at the Saver rate, though there is no youth rate in addition to what would already be a discounted Saver rate. Therefore, since there will be adult passengers traveling with youths, you can purchase a pass at the Saver rate for all of you, as long as you will all be traveling together at all times.

Once you have accessed the page for the pass you wish to purchase on our website and you enter the number of passengers traveling, you would just click 'Yes' where it says 'Special prices are offered for 2 or more travelers. Is everyone in your party traveling together at all times?', and you would then be quoted the Saver rate.

A rail pass covers the ticket costs on trains between different cities in the country or countries included on the pass. When applicable, reservations are a supplementary cost to a rail pass (considering that any costs for needed reservations would be factored into the cost of individual point-to-point tickets, a rail pass still often works out to be the most economical option for travelers taking multiple trains while in Europe that cover more substantial distances.)

Reservations are required on all night trains, many international routes, and most high-speed trains (the exception to this being the high-speed trains that operate within Germany, for which reservations would just be highly recommended). In Western Europe, many major cities are connected almost exclusively by high-speed trains. Therefore, it is likely that reservations will be required for many of your trips there.

After you add the pass to your 'Itinerary' (shopping cart), you would click 'Add a Trip' or 'Continue Shopping' where it says 'Want to add more items to your Itinerary?'. This would take you back to the homepage where you would click on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' to purchase your reservations. To browse reservation costs and schedules beforehand, you would just click on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' directly from our homepage.

Most reservable trains in Europe can only be booked within 60 or 90 days of an intended date of departure. If your intended date of travel happens to fall outside of this time frame, then you would just enter a date within the next 60 or 90 days to get an idea of the reservation cost and view schedules when searching a route.

Reservable trains can sell out quickly, so it would be recommended that reservations be booked as soon as possible.

If a particular train doesn't accept reservations, then the rail pass is all you would need to board that train.
