How best to travel from Paris (CDG) to Nice?

None of the information tells you if you need a multi-country rail pass or just a France rail pass when making train reservations for travel to Nice from Paris (CDG). I will be traveling on June 10. When I try and compair pricing it only generates eurorail pass for 2 countries and not the France rail pass. Does that train go through another country or can I just purchase the France rail pass and make reservations?

    Hi Brandi,

The trains from Paris to Nice and Paris CDG to Nice do not pass through any country other than France, so I'm not sure I understand your question. Since these trains stay within France, any rail pass that includes France would be valid for coverage, be it the France Rail Pass itself or any multi-country pass that includes France.

The trains from Paris CDG to Nice are high-speed TGV trains that would just require reservations in addition to a rail pass.

For travel with a rail pass, you would purchase reservations by entering a route on our homepage (www.raileurope.com) and indicating the type of rail pass with which you'll be traveling (i.e. a 'France Rail Pass').

From the Paris CDG Airport to Nice, there is only one direct train per day. To search connections from the Paris CDG Airport to Nice, you would just have to type 'Paris Airport' in the field for the departure city.

Generally, trains in France can be booked once within 90 days of an intended date of departure.
