    Hi Shankar,

There is a main rail station right at the Zurich Airport. A connection from the Zurich Airport to Wengen takes just over 3 hours in duration and involves at least 3 train changes en route; once in Bern, once in Interlaken, and then once in Lauterbrunnen.

You would check schedules and purchase tickets by doing a search under 'Find Train Tickets' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. For a trip such as this, you would just have to piece together the connection by doing a separate search for each segment. Also, for trains departing out of the station at the Zurich Airport, you would just have to type 'Zurich Airport' in the field for the departure city.

Therefore, you would do one search for trains from the Zurich Airport to Bern, another search for connecting trains from Bern to Interlaken, another search for connecting trains from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen, and another search for connecting trains from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen.

Trains from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen run along the famed Bernese Oberland Railway, while trains from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen run along the Wengernalp Railway.

  • Is it cheaper to buy the Transfer Ticket when traveling from Zurich Airport to Wengen, and then back a week later, or to just buy the separate ticket without a pass? Also, how much does it cost to send one piece of luggage from the airport to Wengen?
    Thank you.
