  • Hello,

You can purchase tickets and check schedules by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage.

There is a direct overnight train from Munich to Rome (a 'City Night Line' train). Otherwise, a daytime connection from Munich to Rome involves at least one train change in Bologna or Verona along the way. To view the most possible options, you would piece together the connection by doing a separate search for each segment. Therefore, you would do one search for trains from Munich to Bologna or Munich to Verona (both EuroCity 'Brennero' trains) and another search for connecting trains from Bologna to Rome (high-speed Frecciarossa/Frecciargento, high-speeed Italo trains, or 'InterCity' trains) or Verona to Rome (high-speed Frecciargento trains).

The night train from Munich to Rome can generally be booked up to 180 days from an intended date of departure. The day trains that comprise of a connection from Munich to Rome can only be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.
