I am booking Eurostar tickets in first class. do I also have to purchase a seat?

Does guaranteed seat with seat assignment come with the purchase of a first class Eurostar ticket, or is a seat reserved based on the number of tickets sold and the actual seat selection on the day of travel open on a first come, first served basis?

  • Hi Ron,

The Eurostar (London-Paris or London-Brussels) requires seat reservations, so the reservation would automatically be included. If a particular train requires reservations, the reservation is automatically included with any ticket purchase for that train (the only exception to this is trains in Portugal, where reservations are only able to be added locally at the stations).

You would purchase tickets by searching a route under 'BOOK TRAIN TICKETS' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. Generally, the Eurostar can be be booked 6 to 9 months in advance of a departure.
