    Hi Alicia,

You would purchase tickets by searching a route under 'BOOK TRAIN TICKETS' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.

    Barcelona to Paris

From Barcelona to Paris, you would take a France-Spain High Speed trains. The France-Spain High Speeds operate as direct service between Barcelona and Paris, and the ride only takes about 6.5 hours. Generally, France-Spain High Speed trains can be booked once within 120 days of an intended departure date.

    Paris to Rome (daytime option)

A daytime connection from Paris to Rome takes just over 10-11 hours in duration and involves changing trains at least once along the way in either Milan or Turin.

When purchasing tickets for a route such as this, you would just have to break up your search once in either Milan or Turin.

When you choose your trains, be sure to account for the stations of arrival and departure in your connecting city. For instance, direct trains from Paris to Milan only arrive into the Porta Garibaldi station in Milan, while trains from Milan to Rome can depart from either Porta Garibaldi or the Centrale station.

If you choose a train from Milan to Rome that departs out of Centrale, you would commute from Porta Garibaldi to Centrale by taking Line 2 of the Milan Metro. The ride from Porta Garibaldi to Centrale only takes about 5 minutes. You would pay to board the Metro right there at the station.

Similarly, direct trains from Paris to Turin only arrive into the Turin Porta Susa station, while trains from Turin to Rome can depart from either Porta Susa or the Porta Nuova station. If you needed to, you would commute from Porta Susa to Porta Nuova by taking a local metro or regional train, in which case the ride would only be about 8-10 minutes.

Trains from Paris to Milan and Paris to Turin are high-speed France-Italy TGV trains. Generally, these trains can be booked once within 90 days of an intended departure.

Trains from Milan to Rome and Turin to Rome are either Frecciarossa high-speed trains or Italo high-speed trains. Generally, Frecciarossa and Italo trains can be booked once within 120 days of an intended departure.

    Paris to Rome (overnight option)

An overnight connection from Paris to Rome takes about 15 hours in duration and involves changing trains once in Milan along the way. The segment from Paris to Milan is on the actual night train.

For the overnight option from Paris to Rome, you can view schedules by breaking up your search in Milan.
