1st class Eurail Germany-Switzerland Pass not offered to youths? 2nd class Eurail Germany-Switzerland Pass not offered to adults?

Why am i unable to book a youth ticket in first class for 2 countries and more? e.g. Germany-Switzerland pass first class tickets only offers to adults and others but not for the youths. And the second class tickets offers to youths but not adults. Why is this so? Will I need a separate booking for this?

Thank you for your question, Jack.

Yes, it is true that youth rates are only offered for 2nd class with regard to certain rail passes, including the Eurail Germany-Switzerland Pass. Therefore, if a youth-eligible passenger wishes to travel in 1st class with such a pass, they would just purchase the pass at the regular adult rate.

It is also true that certain passes, including the Eurail Germany-Switzerland Pass, do not offer a 2nd class option to adult passengers.
