I have a Swiss pass but need reservations for specific train but there is not enough time to have a paper ticket mailed. Any options?

Also, in looking at the reservations & schedules, I can't tell if I am required to have a paper reservation or not. Help?

  • Hi Susan,

Unless you are taking a scenic train, like the Glacier Express, you do not need reservations on any other train within Switzerland. You can just board the train with your pass and take any available seat.

If you need a reservation on the scenic train, then you would need to purchase your reservation locally in Switzerland at any train station.

All Swiss tickets issued by Rail Europe are currently paper tickets only that would need to be sent to you prior to you departing North America.

    Thank you,
    Jen
