Is the German Rail Twin Flexi Pass (3 day) valid for DB Bahn City Night Line trains from Milan to Munich? Please help

We are travelling from Milan to Munich on the City Night Line train. I have already purchased the 3 days in one month German rail twin pass flexi, which is valid for certain destinations coming into Germany. However when I attempt to make a reservation via the DB Bahn website I cannot find a saver option mentioning the same. Can someone please assist?

Thanks

  • Hi Sanjiv.

I'm very sorry for the long delay getting back to you. Even though the German Rail Pass only covers one of the countries being traveled through, it would still enable you to receive a discounted rate called the 'Passholder 2' on the 'City Night Line' night train from Milan to Munich. You would just have to be sure to get your pass validated at the station prior to boarding.

Generally, you would be able to purchase tickets at the 'Passholder 2' rate on this train by clicking on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on our homepage, entering the route, and indicating that you'll be traveling with a 'German Rail Pass'. However, due to an error on our site, this particular rate is not able to be booked there at this time. Instead, you would have to purchase tickets at this rate by calling us at 1-800-622-8600. Our current hours are 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM CT Monday to Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT on Saturdays.
