Is a train pass practically useful within Austrian cities ?

Hi

Me and my group of friends are travelling to Austria for 7 days this April. We are staying in Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vienna. We want to know if we should buy a one week rail pass or point to point train tickets as in all these three locations as our hotels are centrally located.

    Hello,

You would check point-to-point ticket costs by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.

Otherwise, there does happen to be a rail pass just for Austria called the Eurail Austria Pass. To determine your overall most economical option, you would the check costs for this rail pass and compare it to the total cost of the regular point-to-point ticket costs for the trips you plan to make.

You would check costs for and purchase the Eurail Austria Pass by clicking here: http://www.raileurope.com/rail-ticket....

When considering the cost of the rail pass, you would also just want to remember to factor in the costs of the reservations for these trains (reservations are recommended on the trains between Innsbruck, Salzburg, and Vienna.) You would check passholder reservation costs by clicking on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on our homepage, instead of 'Find Fares & Schedules'.
