Is the TGV from Paris to Avignon included with a rail pass?

Hello! I am visiting France, and will be traveling by train from Paris to Avignon and back. Will the TGV be covered if I buy the RAIL PASS?

    Hi Anna,

Yes, a rail pass that includes France does cover the ticket costs for TGV trains operating within France, including the TGVs between Paris and Avignon or Paris and the Avignon TGV station. TGV trains would just require reservations in addition to the rail pass. For travel with a rail pass, you would purchase reservations by clicking on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. TGV trains in France can sell out very quickly, so I would definitely recommend purchasing the reservations as soon as possible. TGVs can be booked once within 90 days of an intended date of departure.
