    Hi Chris,

Travel from Genoa to Dublin would involve making a rail connection to the town of Holyhead in Wales, where you would board a ferry that will take you to Dublin.

The rail connection from Genoa to Holyhead would take at least 22 hours in duration and involves changing trains 4 times along the way; once in Milan, once in Paris, once in London, and then once in Chester. The portion of the connection from Milan to Paris would be on an overnight connection.

You can check schedules and purchase tickets by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. For a trip from Genoa to Holyhead, you can just divide up your search in London. Therefore, you can do one search for the part of the connection from Genoa all the way to London and then a separate search for the final part of the rail connection from London to Holyhead.

Also, we do happen to sell tickets to cover the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin. The ticket to cover this ferry is the 'BritRail Irish Sea Crossing' ticket, which would be purchased here: http://www.raileurope.com/activities/....

This ticket is an open voucher that you would use to board any of the ferries between Holyhead and Dublin. Actual schedules for the ferry can be found by clicking on the 'FAQ' tab once you have accessed the page for the BritRail Irish Sea Crossing ticket. If you wish, you can call Stena directly at +353 (0) 12 047 777 to make actual reservations in association with the ticket. The Stena website is www.stenaline.com.

    Chris,

If your travel is as soon as this upcoming weekend, then I would actually recommend that you call us at 1-800-622-8600 as soon as possible. This way we can ensure tickets arrive to you in time for your departure to Europe.
