Change in reply by Jeff to Hi Lisa,

There is no rail pass that combines England with countries on the mainland continent of Europe. However, as of 2017, the Eurostar (the train that connects London and Paris) is now covered by any rail pass that includes France. This would enable you to purchase the single country 'Eurail France Pass'. For the Eurail France Pass, you would click here: https://www.raileurope.com/rail-tickets-passes/france-pass/index.html.

In addition to the pass, you would just need to purchase tickets for the Heathrow Express (the short express train between Heathrow and the city of London) and reservations for your other trains.

A connection from Heathrow to Paris does involve going into the city of London first. The Eurostar trains to Paris depart from the St Pancras station in London. To commute from the airport, you would take the Heathrow Express into the Paddington station. The Heathrow Express trains depart once every 15 minutes (taking about 15 minutes from terminals 1, 2 and 3 to Paddington and 23 minutes from terminal 5 to Paddington). Trains between Paris and Bordeaux (high-speed TGV trains) also will require reservations in addition to your pass.

For travel with a rail pass, you would purchase the reservations by clicking the 'Seat Reservations' tab on our homepage (www.raileurope.com), entering the route, and indicating the type of rail pass with which you'll be traveling.
