Lucerne to Vienna - Can I use rail pass or do I have to buy a separate ticket?

    Yes, the Eurail Austria-Switzerland Pass does cover the ticket costs for travel between Lucerne and Vienna. A connection from Lucerne to Vienna involves changing trains once in Zurich along the way.

    Trains from Lucerne to Zurich do not accept reservations, so the rail pass is all you would need to board. Trains from Zurich to Vienna require reservations.

    You can view schedules by entering the requested cities under 'Check Fares and Schedules' on the homepage of our website and clicking the option to 'Check Schedules'. To make your actual reservations for the train from Zurich to Vienna, you would click on 'Book a Reservation for Your Pass' on the homepage. Trains from Zurich to Vienna can be booked within 90 days of an intended departure date.

    If i bought only Swiss travel pass then can i travel from zurich to vienna using swiss travel pass?

      I'm sorry, we generally don't have information about other sites, but I'm fairly certain that they do not sell rail passes or passholder reservations.
