Luggage limit on TGV Duplex (Paris to Lyon)?

Hi,

I am going from São Paulo to Paris by plane and a few days later, I am going to get a TGV Duplex from Paris to Lyon.
My concern is that as I have a 2nd class ticket, I should have to pay extra fees for my international-weight luggages. (2 luggages, aproximatelly 30kg each).

Is there a limit for your luggage? Should I have to pay extra fees, how much would it be?

Thank you for answering me.
Augusto.

    Hi Augusto,

This page is for the United States-based seller of European tickets and passes to North American countries. We are generally not able to sell to residents of countries outside of North America, due to local restrictions. Residents of countries outside of North America would have to book through an affiliated agent in their own country or region. If you are from Brazil, you would book through an agent there. The website you would refer to with your inquiry is http://www.raileurope.com.br/.

      Hi Augusto,

Generally, questions relating to rail travel would have to be answered by the vendor you're purchasing tickets through, as we want to avoid there being any discrepancies or miscommunication.

With that said, there is no checked luggage for the great majority of trains in Europe. Passengers carry their luggage on board the train with them. Sufficient luggage storage is provided in both 1st and 2nd Class. There will be room for luggage storage above and below each seat, as well as at the end of the train car in certain cases. A typical amount of luggage is 2 large items per person, plus one smaller item.

There is generally no specific weight limitations indicated by the various national rail networks of Europe. If you feel as though you may be transporting an excessive amount of luggage, then you would have to contact the national tourism board of the country or countries you will be traveling in.

If you are from Brazil, you would refer to the vendor there with any further questions and to place your order.
