What constitutes a 'month' on a rail pass?

Is a month pass good for a calendar month or is it 30 days beginning from first day of use? Can the pass be activated on the train or do we need to go to a ticket office at CDG?

  • Hi Joan.

A 1 month rail pass would be valid until the previous day of the following month from when you begin your travel. To elaborate, if you were to begin using a 1 month pass on October 26th, then the pass would be valid until November 25th at midnight. This is how it works no matter how many days comprise of the month a passenger intends to begin their travel during. You would validate your pass at the rail station prior to boarding your first train.
