Multi-destination by train and Chunnel

4 of us are traveling from London to Paris on 9/22-9/24 and would like to travel by train one way and the Chunnel the other way. We would also like to travel to versailles from paris on 9/22. We would also like to reserve a hotel with the train tickets. What is the best way to do this?

    Hi,

For the requested itinerary, you would just purchase regular point-to-point tickets for your roundtrip on the Eurostar train between London and Paris.

You would purchase these tickets by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com.

The Eurostar is unique from other trains in that it can generally be booked 6 to 9 months in advance of a departure. As such, the best rates on this train sell out very quickly, so I would recommend purchasing these tickets as soon as possible.

While in Paris, you would take Line C of the local RER train to get to the Palace of Versailles. You would get off at the Versailles-Rive-Gauche-Château stop, which is only about a 5 minute walk from the palace itself. These trains depart 3 or 4 times every hour and take about 40 to 45 minutes in duration. You would pay to board the RER locally, unless you happen to purchase a Paris Visite Pass for zones 1 through 5. The Paris Visite Pass covers travel on the Metro and RER networks, as well as buses within the city of Paris.

You can purchase the Paris Visite Pass here: http://www.raileurope.com/activities/... .

To check other city passes for your stay in Paris, you can click here:

The Paris Museum Pass and the Paris Pass are both popular passes that cover entry to various museums and attractions around Paris, including Versailles. The Paris Pass covers local transportation as well, but only in zones 1 through 3 of Paris.

We do provide a link to purchase hotels on our website, as well. You would just click 'Activities' directly from our homepage, www.raileurope.com. The direct link for hotels is http://www.raileurope.com/us/hotel/ho... .
