Munich Airport station to Nuremberg?

Hello, We would like to take and ICE from Munich Franz Joseph airport to Nuremberg on Sat August 5th at 6.30pm. I'm just wanting to know if we can do this from the airport or do we have to take a train to the town station? Janet

    Hi Janet,

There are no direct trains from the Munich Airport to Nuremberg. In fact, there is only a small rail station at the Munich Airport that services local, commuter trains. Therefore, you would first have to commute into the city of Munich for a connection to Nuremberg. The trains from Munich Airport do arrive into the Munich Hbf station, from where trains to Nuremberg would depart. These trains depart several times every hour and the ride takes about 40 to 45 minutes.

Actual tickets for the trains from airport to the city are not able to be purchased on our website. However, you can purchase these tickets by calling us. You can reach us at 1-800-622-8600. Otherwise, you can just purchase these particular tickets locally upon arrival.

You would purchase tickets for a train from Munich to Nuremberg by doing a search under 'Find Train Tickets' on our homepage, www.raileurope.com. Due to an error, our website only recognizes Nuremberg if spelled incorrectly as 'Nuremburg'. Therefore, you would just have to type 'Nuremburg' when you enter your search.

Trains from Munich to Nuremberg are high-speed ICE (InterCity Express) trains.
