Will I get my documents before I travel overseas?

I booked $4K worth of rail tickets with overnight delivery in CA but received an email "unable to complete" and will contact you in 2 business days.
I am leaving on May 23 and I am definitely worried if this company will live up to its much vaunted reputation! (I was actually referred by Jay from BEST).
What will happen if my tickets are not sent ( is it auto cancelled?) or sent when I am gone?
Please advise/guide what is the best course of action...when should I cancel , a day or two before 5/23?
Desperately needs help and appreciate any input!
