Norway in a Nutshell? Can I use my Scandi Rail pass?

I am going to be staying in Oslo and would like to do the NORWAY IN A NUTSHELL Oslo to Bergen to Oslo(et al) travel route.... can I use my Scandinavian rail pass? Would anyone recommend another "loop" of traveling around Norway or Sweden?

    Hi JR,

The Eurail Scandinavia Pass would cover you from Oslo to Myrdal to start the Norway in a Nutshell trip and then from Voss to Bergen to complete the Norway in a Nutshell trip. You would still just have to purchase the 'Eurail Passholder Myrdal-Flam-Gudvangen-Voss' option of the Norway in a Nutshell on our website.

You can find the Norway in a Nutshell to purchase by clicking on the following sequence of links beginning on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com: 'Find & Book Rail Passes', 'View Our Complete Rail Pass List', the link for 'Norway', and then the link for the Norway in a Nutshell.

Otherwise, the direct link for the Norway in a Nutshell is: http://www.raileurope.com/rail-ticket... .

Trains from Oslo to Myrdal do require reservations, in addition to your Eurail Scandinavia Pass. You would purchase reservations for the train from Oslo to Myrdal by clicking on 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations' on the homepage of our website, www.raileurope.com. Generally, reservable trains in Norway can only be booked within 90 days of an intended date of departure.

Trains from Voss to Bergen don't accept reservations, so the Eurail Scandinavia Pass is all you would need to board. For planning purposes, you can just check schedules for trains from Voss to Bergen by clicking on 'Find Fares & Schedules' on our homepage, instead of 'Book your Rail Pass Reservations'.
