Norway in a Nutshell - Direction of travel

We have an Eurail Scandinavia pass and want to do the Norway in a Nutshell tour one-way from Bergen to Oslo. The logical option I see on RailEurope is listed as "Eurail Passholder Myrdal-Flam-Gudvagen-Voss" that appears to offer the bus/ferry/train tour connections from Myrdal to Voss.
Do I interpret RailEurope's notes correctly that one can purchase this option and then choose whether to use the tickets to travel from Myrdal to Voss or Voss to Myrdal? i.e., we want to use our Eurail pass to travel from Bergen to Voss, then travel from Voss to Myrdal, then jump back on the train from Myrdal to Oslo.

  • Hi Robert,

Yes, you are reading the information correctly. This ticket can be used in either direction. Please note that the ticket is only valid for 2 months from the date of issue. If you are not traveling until after July, then I would hold off purchasing this ticket until you are with in the 2 month validity date.
I hope you have a great vacation abroad.
    Thank you,
